Seventy individuals from Rotary Clubs, Lions Club, and various other community organizations, alongside secondary school students, teachers, parents, and other interested individuals, gathered for a significant event – the presentation of the "CUT" Project.
The international conference hosted by the school was a resounding success, attended by 66 participants including decision-makers, experts in European and national projects, curriculum policy experts, local and national authorities, school personnel, and representatives from NGOs and institutions working with children. The conference was meticulously prepared, featuring banners, promotional materials, and a published book containing project guides and policy recommendations.
The third Project Result is now finalised and available online to be used by end-users. The output is divided into a Lesson Learned Report and a Policy Recommendations Report. The latter is also available in the national languages of the project.
The Erasmus+ multiplier event in Swidnik brought together teachers, students, and representatives from various schools and organizations to discuss the impact of Erasmus+ projects on education.
Gathered at the Jean XXIII school complex in Montigny les Metz, a diverse group convened for the "Prevention against alcohol abuse among pre-adolescents" event. The RenaSup representative showcased resources from the CUT project, emphasizing their role in educating students about alcohol abuse. Teachers shared insights from their Milan training, highlighting strategies for discussing sensitive topics with pre-adolescents. Policy recommendations were presented, advocating for comprehensive education and interdisciplinary partnerships. Partner associations were recognized for their support in implementing prevention activities. Discussions ranged from extending prevention efforts to high schools to addressing alcohol's portrayal in media. The event underscored a collective commitment to combat alcohol abuse and protect pre-adolescents' well-being.
The CUT! Practical Guide was finalised and uploaded online. Partners will be able to present it to target groups and make it evaluated.
Project partners are now reviewing Project Result 3, which will consist of a Leassoned Learned and Policy Recommendations booklet.
The Policy Recommendations Report will be also translated into national languages.
The buzzing atmosphere of Milan welcomed 60 enthusiastic individuals from both Milan and Genoa on November 39, 2023, for the inaugural conference of the European project CUT. Among the attendees were teachers, parents, students of secondary schools, and other interested parties eager to delve into the innovative initiatives of the project. The event served as a platform for the presentation of the "CUT" Project, sparking discussions and collaborations aimed at shaping the future of education and community engagement. Excitement filled the air as participants exchanged ideas, fostering a spirit of collaboration and empowerment for all involved.
Project partners are now carrying out several interviews involving experts and policymakers in the field of education and the issue of alcohol. The information collected will be utilised to produce the third result of the CUT project, which consists of policy recommendations and lessons learned paper.
The draft version of the Guide is now ready. Partners are reviewing it before its finalisation which will be done by AIDD through its experts.
Inforef, reviewed and analysed all the reports produced by each partner to develop the last part of the Guide. This chapter is a collection of best practices that took place in Europe, in each partner country.
The third meeting took place on 6 July 2023 in Kilkis (Greece). Andrea Anzanello presented the project and the activities to be carried out. The meeting was an opportunity to review the next activities regarding the PR2 - CUT Guidelines in order to finalise the output.
During the meeting, the templates of the PR3 – CUT Lessons Learned and Policy Recommendations were presented.
After the meeting the partnership had in mind the future activities to be carried out.
In May 2023, project partners started to put into practice in class the Educational Path developed by AIDD. This activity is now taking place in each partner country and involves experts, teachers, parents and pupils. The results will then be presented in a specific section of the Guide, which is the second project result.
Project partners added subtitles in their national language to each video of the first Project Result in order to increase the accessibility and impact of this project output.
From 27-31 March 2023, Szkoła Podstawowa nr 5 im. Janusza Kusocińskiego w Swidniku, Poland hosted young people from Romania and Italy as part of the Erasmus+ Project 'Cut'. The focus of the mobility was aimed to prevent alcohol dependence among young people. This report summarizes the activities carried out during the project week.

End-users can now watch short videos where parents present the issue of alcohol in their school from their point of view.
The Training of Trainers took place from 19 to 24 February 2023 in Milan., organised by AIDD, a partner of the CUT project.
The Training was a great experience where teachers were presented with the Educational Path of the CUT Guide, the core of the second Result of the project. Teachers had the possibility to learn new activities to be carried out in class aiming at helping pupils with the theme of alcohol.
AIDD developed the Educational Path which is the core of the second project result, that consists of a Practical Guide addressed to teachers dealing with pupils.
The Educational Path is a short guide containing activities and examples helping teachers to address the issue of alcohol in class and with parents in order to avoid it or deal with it.

The short-term exchange of pupils took place from 7 to 11 November 2022 at I.C. Scialoia in Milan. During the week, groups of students and their teachers from Romania and Poland were welcomed to the Scialoia school where they participated with Italian students in workshops on the issue of alcohol abuse among pre-adolescents led by a psychologist. In the workshops they watched the videos produced by AIDD, shared their ideas and carried out activities on the topic. The exchange was an opportunity to further raise the students' awareness of the topic of alcohol abuse, as they were able to learn new information, reflect on its causes and consequences and share their experiences.
The second meeting took place on 6 – 7 October 2022. Andrea Anzanello presented the project and the activities to be carried out. The meeting was an opportunity to review and discuss the Focus Groups carried out by the partners and the results obtained that will be shown in the videos AIDD is now finalising.
During the meeting, the templates of the PR2 – CUT Guide were presented to the partners.
After the meeting, the partnership had in mind the future activities to be carried out.
In September, AIDD and Scialoia, the Italian partners in charge of the exchange for pupils, met to finalise the organisation of the training.
The exchange will take place in Milan in November and the schools' partners in the project will participate with pupils and teachers from their institutions.
Partners are now working to organise several focus groups with parents. The aim of these focus groups is to gain information from parents regarding the topic of alcohol abuse in young pupils. At the end, project partners will produce 6 video-pills.
AIDD, as the scientific expert of the CUT Project, is now reviewing the material of the different focus groups carried out with children.
The final result will be 3 videos pills related to 3 specific topics related to the issue of alcool abuse among young students.
Franco Crippa, from AIDD Association, the partner expert of the CUT! project, presented the Erasmus Project "CUT".
The event involved 150 people with the aim to raise awareness on the topic of alcoholism in young people support from the group of participants Involvement as project partners.
Project partners are now carrying out several Focus Groups with the students of the involved schools to collect information on situations that include alcohol abuse at school. The results of the Focus Groups will be used to record 3 videos targeting students.
During a multiplier event of Erasmus+ project "Tiramisu", Mr. Paśnikowski presented the up-to-date information about the project, discussed the intellectual outputs that will be created and encouraged the teachers to join the project.
The Kick-off meeting was held from 31 January - to 1 February 2022. Jessica Colombo and Andrea Anzanello presented the project and the activities to be carried out. The meeting was also an opportunity for the partners to know each other and discuss all details related to the next project's activities. At the end of the meeting, all the partners had a clear view of the future project's implementation and the next activity which is the organisation of the Focus Groups for pre-adolescents and the related videos.
The CUT project is funded by the European Commission through the Polish National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme, with the aim of limit the use and abuse of alcohol among pre-adolescents and adolescents by focusing on prevention and awareness.
