Video Series

The section give access to a collection of Videos addressed to pupils and parents that can be used in order to stimulate a reflection of the main risk factors, early signs and potential prevention strategies in the field of alcohol use and abuse among pre-adolescents and adolescents.
The Videos addressed to students should be used under the guidance of teachers and schools staff (e.g. psychologists and counsellors) while the ones addressed to parents provide easy to understand information and tips on how to better communicate and interact with youngsters while dealing with sensitive issues.

The videos are the final result of a coherent and consistent process that engaged the direct protagonists and future beneficiaries of their contents as they are based on the information partners collected during the Focus Groups discussion with students and teachers, and others with parents to have the point of view of the two main groups.
For the purpose project partners organised a total of 19 Focus Group Discussions with pupils and 19 with parents. During the Focus Groups 60 among teachers and psychologists, almost 200 parents and 700 students were actively involved in a transnational reflection and knowledge sharing experience in the field of prevention of alcohol abuse and reduction of risky behaviors at pre-adolescence and adolescence stage.
All the Focus Groups were organised ensuring the presence of teachers and at least one psychologist, to help to guide the participants to address such sensitive topics and were, therefore, the first but key step to raise awareness and reflection on the issue of alcohol use and abuse.
The focus group allowed for the emergence of different points of view, so as to amplify the collection of information, which became greater than the sum of the opinions of the individual group participants. Interaction was reticular, allowing stimuli to be broadened and different perspectives to be explored, in a generative and creative dynamic to foster a serene climate of dialogue and openness, both mental and relational, so that everyone felt protagonists and motivated to bring their contribution.
All participants became, together with the creators and experts, co-constructors of the subsequent work phases: the content of the various focus groups, in fact, were the starting point for the creation of the videos.
