Practical Guide

This section is dedicated to the CUT! - Practical Guide for preventing alcohol abuse among preadolescents and adolescents.
The Guide is addressed to school teachers as well as staff providing psychological support to students (e.g. school counselors, psychologists etc.) and it provides information on the phenomenon of alcohol use and abuse among young boys and girls and outlines an educational path and related practical advices to effectively identify, prevent and tackle the issue.


CUT! Practical Guide

The Guide in its first part presents, according to a transnational perspective, an overview of the main trends related to the phenomenon of preadolescents and adolescents use and abuse of alcohol, describes the main strategies to prevent the phenomenon, and proposes a selection of good practices on the matter.
In its second part the Guide outlines the Cut! - Educational Path that aims at supporting school teachers and staff, to effectively cooperate with families in order to address the issue of alcohol abuse inside and outside the school environment.
The path is designed to address students, especially at a young age, and provide them with information about the danger of consuming alcohol and help them to freely discuss about the topic as a fundamental approach to raise their awareness.
